INDIA’S BIGGEST PRODUCER SULA VINEYARDS ENTERS CHINA MARKET

Sula Vineyards, India's largest wine producer, has started exporting Sula wines to China, the world's second biggest market for wine consumption after the USA.
The winery has recently appointed Nanjing Glory International, one of China's leading distributors of wine and liquor, as their importer and distributor in China.
The Nashik-based winery has over 65% market share in the Indian wine market and exports to 30 countries across Asia, Europe, USA and Canada.
The 20-year old company is the first Asian winery with annual sales exceeding one million cases outside of China. It is seeking to expand overseas and its next export target is Oman in the Middle East.
Nasik is a pilgrim town in Maharashtra state, it is known as the “Wine Capital of India” with over 40 out of the country’s 60 wineries.
"It is very exciting for us to establish our presence in China, the world's second biggest wine market after USA," said Rajeev Samant, Founder and CEO of Sula Vineyards.
Speaking on the partnership with Sula Vineyards, a representative of Nanjing Glory International said: “We are very happy and excited to partner with the biggest winery of India, Sula Vineyards. It is with great pleasure that we are introducing their wines in our market.”
Nanjing Glory will initially focus on coastal areas with higher density of affluent and well-travelled consumers, including Hangzhou and Shanghai city, Jiangsu, Shandong, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces.
Sula’s Brut Tropicale, Sauvignon Blanc, Dindori Reserve Shiraz and Shiraz will be available in 200 retail outlets in China from this month including supermarkets and restaurants.
