The London-based 67 Pall Mall, a wine focused private members’ club, has launched a special category of membership in Hong Kong allowing access to all of 67 Pall Mall’s clubs worldwide as well as exclusive local wine events.

Called en primeur membership, the club is planning to roll out the membership class to other cities including Tokyo, Shanghai, Dubai and potentially Bangkok where 67 Pall Mall has no physical venue.

The annual fee for a Hong Kong en primeur membership is HKD15,000 (USD2,000) , likely to cap at 1,000, it allows access to 67 Pall Mall’s venues in London, Verbier, Singapore, Beaune, Bordeaux and Melbourne starting from 2025.

Founder of 67 Pall Mall, Grant Ashton, said that they are actively exploring club sites in Hong Kong. In case a physical club opens in the city, the en primeur members can easily transfer to a full membership.

For now, the en primeur membership will offer Hong Kong members a series of workshops, dinners, masterclasses, sommelier concierge service and WSET education, with the Upper House Hotel in Admiralty as venue partner.

Kick starting this year’s events will be a vertical tasting in March of Bordeaux vintages 1988, 2012 and 2000 led by Jane Anson.

The club will continue to offer members tailored sessions run by Hong Kong-based Debra Meiburg MW and the club's Singapore head of wine Richard Hemming MW.
