French drinks giant Pernod Ricard is considering a listing of its Indian business, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday, citing sources familiar with the plan.
Bloomberg reported that Pernod is speaking with potential advisers as it weighs the merits of a separate listing for Pernod Ricard India, adding that deliberations are at a preliminary stage.
The company, which is the owner of brands such as Chivas Regal and Absolut Vodka, is one of India's biggest liquor players and competes with Diageo in the Indian alcohol market.
The news comes as Pernod faces antitrust cases in India and a high profile case where authorities allege suspected violations of New Delhi's liquor regulations.
The company denies any wrongdoing.
Pernod's shares have risen nearly 12 percent in Paris so far this year, valuing the company at around USD24.4 billion. The stock lost nearly 33 percent of its value in 2025.
