Single malt Scotch brand Glenfiddich has launched its XS Double Sherry Cask Limited Edition collection to mark the Year of the Horse.

experiences in Shanghai and Shenzhen, inviting whisky enthusiasts to embark on a sensory journey to taste the limited edition.
The Glenfiddich XS Double Sherry Cask collection features three distinguished expressions – 15, 18 and 21 Year Old – each finished in handpicked sherry casks to amplify depth and character while preserving Glenfiddich’s signature fruity profile.
The triple offering is the result of innovative double maturation: each whisky matures first in American and European oak casks, then undergoes a meticulous finishing process in rare sherry casks, a technique that unlocks an extraordinary spectrum of flavours and textures.
The 15 Year Old, finished in Oloroso sherry casks, strikes a vivid balance between Glenfiddich’s classic green apple brightness and warming cinnamon spice, with subtle oak sweetness and a soft, lingering finish that evokes the vibrancy of new beginnings.
The 18 Year Old elevates complexity with a finishing in rare Moscatel sherry casks, delivering velvety richness with notes of caramelised fruit, treacle toffee and dried apricots, harmoniously balanced with gentle oak tannins and a long, powerful aftertaste.
Capping the collection as its crowning jewel, the 21 Year Old is finished in precious Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks, boasting opulent aromas of dried figs, candied jujubes and woody spice, with a full-bodied palate and an exquisitely complex, lingering sweetness that encapsulates decades of careful ageing.

Attendees can sample the full XS Double Sherry Cask range guided by Glenfiddich brand ambassadors, gaining insight into the brand’s unrivalled sherry cask selection process and double maturation technique. The pop-ups aim to redefine festive whisky experiences, merging the brand’s Scottish heritage with the joy of Lunar New Year gatherings in China.
