Japanese drinks maker Asahi plans to resume shipments of all its products starting from 7 April after a halt caused by a cyberattack last September.
In the alcoholic drink segment, shipments have been resumed for "almost all products," an official of the parent, Asahi Group Holdings, said Tuesday.
Also on Tuesday, Asahi Group Holdings reported a consolidated net profit of ¥102.8 billion (USD650 million) for January-September 2025, down 26.2 percent from a year before, on sales of ¥2.15 trillion, down 0.6 percent.
Following the cyberattack, Asahi Group Holdings postponed its earnings announcement, which had been scheduled for November last year. The announcement date for the full-year results through December has not yet been decided.
Asahi Group Holdings left its earnings forecasts for 2025 unchanged, saying that it is still examining the impact of the cyberattack.
Ahead of the full resumption for alcoholic drinks, Asahi Breweries President Kazuo Matsuyama distributed free beer at a supermarket in Mitaka, Tokyo, while apologising to customers for the inconvenience.
Last September, Asahi reported a systems failure connected to the cyber breach, affecting production and distribution across its business in Japan.
The company’s factories resumed operations a week later. The group’s operations in Europe and Asia Pacific were not impacted by the incident.
