In a landmark deal signed between French exhibition organiser Vinexposium and the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) on 30 October, Vinexpo Asia will anchor in Hong Kong for five consecutive years from 2027 to 2031.

The agreement has concluded the previous arrangement of alternating host rotation with Singapore, and has established Hong Kong as the exclusive annual host for Asia’s premier wine and spirits trade exhibition in the coming five years.

The first edition under the new five-year term is scheduled for 8 to10 June 2027 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Launched in Hong Kong in 1998, Vinexpo Asia has long served as a key marketplace for cross-border alcoholic beverage business across Greater China and Southeast Asia.

Industry stakeholders welcome the stable annual schedule, which allows brands to align product launches, trade roadshows and procurement planning with a fixed regional industry calendar.

“Stability and predictability are critical for international wine and spirits trade,” said Déborah Sanchez, Overseas Events Director at Vinexposium.

“Locking Vinexpo Asia in Hong Kong annually provides the global industry with a reliable platform to build partnerships and expand Asian market presence,” she added.

HKTB officials stated that the five-year commitment reinforces Hong Kong’s leading position as Asia’s wine trading hub, underpinned by its duty-free wine policies, mature auction ecosystem and seamless regional connectivity.

Beyond the exhibition floor, organisers will roll out city-wide supporting programmes integrating local hospitality, dining and tasting events to amplify business and tourism value.

The upgraded annual format will also spotlight fast-growing sector trends, including premium spirits, Chinese baijiu, and low-and-no-alcohol beverages.
